Kasev Tiv in Diaspora (Tiv Women in Diaspora)
Welcome to the Tiv Women in Diaspora community! We are a collective of Tiv women, including those who are Tiv by birth, married to Tiv men, or daughters of Tiv families, living abroad. Our mission is driven by three core goals:
Goal 1:
To develop ourselves spiritually, mentally, academically, physically and financially.
Objectives:
a. Monthly teleconferences on any suitable platform on any of the headings above. This would be advertised prior to the date.
b. Follow up discussions on the topics in the teleconferences
Goal 2:
To encourage unity among Tiv Women in Diaspora.
Objectives
a. Arranged physical meetings as agreed by the group.
b. To create a platform where we can together support one another on issues that affect their lives.
c. To generate ideas that will help our children. Work out a mentoring strategy.
d. To generate ideas that will develop our country of residence.
e. To discuss and tackle common challenges facing Tiv Women in Diaspora.
f. To identify with one another to combat loneliness.
g. To aid one another to fulfil their destiny.
Goal 3:
To generate ideas that will develop our Nation (Tivland).
We will also work for the betterment of our countries residence and enrich the culture with our cultural dances, Unique Cuisine and vibrant celebrations.
Objectives:
a. Discuss and work on issues that will help women and families in Tivland. e.g Health issues,
b. Engage with and help orphanages, IDP camps Drill boreholes and water ststem to help with water shortagesetc.
c. To support education especially at the primary and secondary levels.
d. Promote Tiv Fashion and culture with the agenda of boosting the economy and encouraging Tiv talents.
e. To be a voice for Tivland when and where reasonable
F. Organise cultural events that would held the people learn our vibrant dances and enjoy our cuisines.
G. Display our unique black and white attire (Anger) which cuts across all nationals and look fantastic in all nations.
Tiv Women in Diaspora (TWID) is a group of married and single Tiv women, those married to Tiv men, and women with at least one Tiv parent and residing outside of Africa. The Tiv are Nigeria’s fourth-largest ethnic group, residing in the Central States of Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, Abuja FCT, and the West African country Cameroon. TWID is officially registered and headquartered in the United Kingdom and has more than 300 members across 27 countries. Namely:

TWID was founded by its divinely inspired global coordinator, Pastor Mrs Nguumbur Abudar, ably supported by her husband Rev Dr Terzungwe Abu, TWID is under the patronage of Ngo U Tiv, Her Royal Majesty Professor Mrs Felicia Hembadoon Ayatse. TWID perfected the method of online meetings during the global pandemic and is known for the strong bonds of sisterhood and unity that exist amongst its members. It is organised into chapters in various countries, as mentioned above. It also comprises of units, namely:

Since it’s inception on the 12th February 2020 to date, members have learnt a lot from one another by way of seminars held regularly on zoom, books have been written, new businessses birth, realisation of visions that were lying dormant in members due to lack of resources or encouragement, more marriages as children are getting to know one another and many more happenings amongst members.
TWID has installed ten boreholes in Tivland and is planning more, alongside setting up TWID kitchens in the diaspora. Through these endeavors and more, the Tiv Women in Diaspora are showcasing Tivness to the world. The next global physical meeting of TWID will take place in Germany .
